Brockham Church Appeal - Your Church Urgently Needs Your Help!
Christ Church on Brockham Green is a
focal point of our beautiful village of Brockham in
Surrey.
The church
was constructed of very porous Reigate stone in 1845. Throughout
the years, the external stonework has continued to erode and is now
in need of urgent repair.
We are
launching a Jubilee Fundraising Appeal to enlist the financial
support of the community, including local and national businesses
and charities, to raise £80,000 towards the cost of the restoration
project which is currently estimated to be £100,000.
If our
appeal is successful, work would commence in the summer of 2012.
However, failure to raise the necessary funds will result in more
erosion of the stonework affecting the appearance of the church as
the centrepiece of the village of Brockham.
If
donations to the project are given through Charitable Gift Aid, the
Fund would benefit from a Tax Rebate and further increase the funds
we receive.

If this
project is successful the PCC would hope to undertake the
long-awaited improvements to the Church Hall by improving the
disabled assess and kitchen facilities and providing disabled
toilet.
