This club for the Over 60’s of the village meets in the Village Hall at 2pm every first Wednesday of the month from February to November. The Club has been running for nearly 60 years and has a membership of 70+. Annual subscription - £8.
The AGM is held at the February meeting when members can discuss future events and elect a committee. There are 6 outings a year which include 2 Mystery Trips, out to the Coast and visiting places of interest. The outings cost £12 for members and £15 for visitors.
Each month there is a speaker or entertainment. A Strawberry Tea and Ploughman’s Lunch are arranged and Fish and Chips are also brought in sometime during the year. The club goes out to Christmas Lunch in December. A Coffee Morning is held in August.
Last July 2015, the club participated in the Village Victorian Fair and raised £150 for the Brigitte Trust in Dorking. Previous years SSAFA, Help for Heroes and The Stroke Association have been supported.
Nominal fee is £1 at each meeting when a cup of tea and biscuits are provided and the chance to socialise with friends and acquaintances and enter the monthly raffle.
Over the last year or two, members have the opportunity to see films at the Village Hall provided by the Village Hall Club on selected Saturday afternoons.
The Club is fortunate to have the Village Hall as a venue and the local coach company, Hardings is engaged to take members on outings.

(It is due to the foresight of Mrs Smith , late of Brookside Cottages, Middle Street that the club was initially formed for the over 60’s all those years ago. Mr Oliver West subsequently became chairman, followed by Mr Bill Dixon and then Mr Alex Street.
Bobbie Stevens and Janet Powell took over as Joint Chairman in 2007. The Club’s Chairman is now Janet Powell with Deputy Chairman Freda Lewis thus continuing this valuable organisation for the senior generation of Brockham.)
