Brockham Freezes

Brockham has been hit by the heaviest snow for 18 years with 10cm of snow fall being recorded; further snowfall is predicted tonight (Monday) with temperatures plummeting to -4. The snow will turn to sleet by Tuesday

Schools Out

Luckily Brockham School had planned an inset day but nearby Ashcombe and Priory schools were forced to close for the day. They will remain closed on Tuesday. The pupils seemed to take it quite well! They headed straight to The Chimney Pots gathering sledges, tin trays and even skis!

Building work on the Strood Green Shop ground to a halt as only local trades could get through – well done Matt!

Chimney Pots

Nearby Gatwick airport was closed while the runway was de-iced, many flights have been cancelled or delayed. The Reigate section of the M25 was closed with motorists stuck for over four hours.
