Brockham School Library Has A Makeover

Today the newly refurbished library at Brockham School was officially opened by Mrs Angela Fraser DL, Chairman of Surrey County Council.

The refurbishment was made possible by the fund raising efforts of The Friends of Brockham School. Around £10,000 was donated to buy new shelving new carpet and books for the new library.

Books were also bought for the infant library. The money was raised by FOBS throughout the year, the biggest events being the Christmas Fair and the Summer Fete.

After a tour of the school there was a brief ceremony during which Mrs Fraser thanked all those who helped including the parents and governors who helped assemble the shelving.

Also present were Councillor Derek Burt chairman of Mole Valley Council and Councillor Roger Hammond Chairman of Brockham Parish Council and members of FOBS.
