Comic Relief charity match

Brockham Green was transformed into a five a side football pitch last Sunday (15th March) where the owners of the Royal Oak, Sue and Darren had organised a charity football match. It was a perfect day with unseasonably warm sunshine

There was a great atmosphere from start to finish with some class finishing that wouldn’t have gone a miss in the premiership! But of course there were also some howlers that brought smiles to everyone's faces. It was a fast and furious day ending with a penalty shoot out between Roffey and Tatsfield - Roffey taking the winners trophy with a 3-2 win.

The day was not only about having fun but to raise money for Comic Relief. A massive £420 was raised from the team entrance money, selling red noses and a raffle.

Sue and Darren would like to extend their thanks to all those who helped organise the event and those who donated equipment and of course to all the participants who made the day such a success.

Thanks again to all who took part and we are already looking at organising our next event!
