Latest news from the ELP steering committee
The following has been released by the
Emergency Land Preservation steering committee:-
7 January:
As at 5pm this evening no official news has been
conveyed to the ELP steering committee regarding the progress of
the bid. Frankly this is very disappointing, it may
also account for the number of rumours circulating the village
that the bid has been unsuccessful. We would like to stress
that ELP are unable to confirm such a rumour.
At present no official news whatsoever has been
recieved since the bid was lodged, but we all hope to hear
from the vendor very soon. Meawhile please treat rumour
as rumour and keep the pledges of support coming in.
It is clear that the community is pulling
together; the number of concerned villagers has now
grown beyond several hundred.
