Gatwick Airport are holding a further drop in session in relation to the Route 4 modification.
The Burford Bridge Hotel in Dorking will be the venue for presentations by an aviation expert which will allow the Gatwick team to still circulate and speak to people individually. This session will be at The Buford Bridge on Thursday 5th May between 6-9pm.
There will be exhibition boards to explain what’s happening, material to take away and members of the team available to chat through any questions. The technical sessions presented by Paul Reid Associates will be at 6:15, 7:00 and 8:00 pm.
Please provide feedback at the drop-in session or by emailing: email@example.com
Plane Wrong have released the following statement:
As most of you are now probably aware, following the Post implementation review, Gatwick are currently in the process of reversing route 4 (westerly departure) back inside the NPR. This is a tremendous result for all of us who have rallied together to ensure that this injustice was put right.
The process for change is due to start in February 2016 which means that the route will be reversed in May. Any delay to this will push the deadline back further, with the threat of yet another summer ruined by constant flight noise. For the most up to date information direct from Gatwick, we suggest that you visit Gatwick's blog and their route 4 page.
However, to ensure that the pressure is maintained, we urge you to continue to log your noise complaints. All the information you need to do this is on our website.
Plane Wrong continue to campaign for change to the Easterly departure route and the pressure you can apply by logging noise complaints, writing to your local council, MP’s, can only assist with the work that Plane Wrong is currently doing.
As we know from recent press reports, Gatwick is committed to listening to the local community – so, make them accountable and le t our voice be heard! Follow Plane Wrong on Facebook and Twitter @lgw_planewrong, using #notanothersummer.
Thank you for you taking the time to assist with the campaign and thank you also for signing the petition Stop the change to flight paths north of Gatwick Airport. Can you help spread the word by forwarding the link below to your friends?
