Elizabeth Bailey Playing Field – Playground Refurbishment Update

Over the past year, Brockham Parish Council has been working with a local community group to plan the replacement of the outdated playground equipment at Elizabeth Bailey Playing Field. After reviewing designs and meeting with suppliers, a preferred layout and contractor have been identified.

The full cost of the new equipment and installation is £26,450.38 (inc. VAT).

A successful grant application to the Gatwick Airport Community Trust has secured £2,505, leaving a funding shortfall of £23,945.38, which is being requested from the Parish Council.

The project also includes the removal of the old equipment and a review of the final playground plan with the supplier. Some small additional works—such as replacing a swing seat and cleaning/painting existing structures—may require modest extra funding.

The playground works have been completed in time for the February Half term.
