Planning, Enforcement and Consultations

We have created a new working group “Brockham Parish Council Planning & Housing needs”, this team joins some of our Parish Council members with external partners (for example Surrey Hills Society, CPRE) and residents willing to put time in to provide a balanced view.

This group will enable the Parish Council to deal with the increasing pressure from central Government and developers to build more houses and to balance it with our own residents need for housing. Residents are welcome to join this meeting. Please ask the Clerk for information.

If you have an interest in an application or are thinking of extending your home, our working group will review current planning applications, discuss where necessary and do due diligence before presenting recommendations at the PC meeting. The working group will pull in other experts to review infrastructure constraints on any planning request. This process is intended to be more transparent and open to all of you, providing a less daunting opportunity to attend and ask questions, and where you can offer your input in your village’s future. Decisions on all planning applications and any action on correspondence, will only occur at a full and public Parish Council meeting.

The Parish Council has reviewed the recent application from the Environmental Agency for a change of permit for Brockham Oil well to allow water from the Angus Energy site at Lidsey to be reinjected to Brockham.  Please click below for further information: -
